Identifying limit of puck height
Homework Statement This homework isn't for a course. There is a book on hockey physics with a section discussing puck drop below intended target. When I use the book's formula modified for drag and lift, it seems to show that a 100 mph shot, taken from 30 feet from the net, can not hit the...- Winums2

Undergrad Projectile height formula based on distance?
If a projectile shot from the ground were shot at a target located at a specified height above the ground, and would hit the target, is there a known formula to find the projectile’s height on its trajectory a specified distance (measured along the flat ground) from the target’s base or from the... -

Can trigonometry and ballistics solve my physics question?
Thanks. Already found a link from a discussion to an online calculator that solves the question without considering drag and lift. Cool.- Winums2

Can trigonometry and ballistics solve my physics question?
Hi Last time I studied physics was in 1977 in high school. Not sure I passed. Picked up a hobby and a question arose. Thought it would be simple, but it led to trigonometry and now, I think, ballistics. So, figured this place would have discussions on the subject.- Winums2
