How do I determine the tipping angle of a box on a truck?
Forget it, figured this out myself, μ = cosθ/sinθ where: tanθ = 1.8 m/ 1 m then, a = μg just in case anyone else has to do these stupid mastering physics assignments.- Zach981

How do I determine the tipping angle of a box on a truck?
Homework Statement A truck is loaded with a large box, which is a uniform rectangular solid 1.8 m tall, 1.0 m wide, and 1.2 m deep. The box sits upright on a truck with its 1.0 m dimension in the direction of travel, and the bed of the truck is sufficiently rough that the load cannot...- Zach981

Board and man sliding on ice problem
Homework Statement A 250-kg board, 2.4 m in length slides broadside along the surface of ice with a speed of 21m/s . A 63 kg man at rest grabs one end as it goes past and hangs on as both he and the beam go spinning down the ice. Assume frictionless motion, and assume that the man can be...- Zach981

Hoop rolling down incline
This a question from my 131 "masteringphysics.com" hw. A cylindrical hoop has radius 10.0 cm and mass 0.550 kg. It rolls from rest a distance of 5.70 m along a board which is tipped up by an angle 18.0 degrees from horizontal. Regard the hoop as being much thinner (in the radial direction)...- Zach981
