How Can I Improve Au Anode Adhesion and Analyze Al Deposition Rates for OLEDs?
You must be from Prof. Lu's class... Oxygen diffuses in more easily if the dposition rate is slow and you know Al2O3 is insulating...- zhongsan

Design Your Democracy: Crafting a Charter
I'll try to answer the first two questions together because I think criminal code is also a piece of legislation. First let's say an average citizen comes up with an idea of making a new law(for the sake of the argument let's say the person belongs to the lowest level). He first discusses it...- zhongsan

Design Your Democracy: Crafting a Charter
1. Maybe I didn't make myself clear. One of the greatest advantages of this system is it's efficiency. In fact you don't require any paperwork at all. With merely three people in each group, the leader can be chosen at anytime informally and orally. And the "presidnet" is not really the one with...- zhongsan

Design Your Democracy: Crafting a Charter
Why's that? Remember the grouping of people is voluntary so if you don't like your group members you can choose another group. I don't see where the "only 1/4 have any significant power" come from. The "officers" are responsible for his or her own group, so the power is distributed and...- zhongsan

Design Your Democracy: Crafting a Charter
A different kind of democracy I'm trying to describe a model of a completely different of democracy. It's called "multi-level election". For the sake of the argument, let's create an imaginary country with only 100 citizens. loosely every 3 citizens voluntarily form a "group", so there are...- zhongsan

MATLAB Matlab vs mathematica vs maple?
For a (67-page) technical comparison of these programs please see this file, but it might be a little outdated: http://www.scientificweb.com/ncrunch/ncrunch4.pdf For a more up-to-date and comprehensive comparison, please read the following articles from this years "Computing in Science &...- zhongsan

Mathematica Questions for Mathematical Physicists - Answers Appreciated!
I don't know about other universities, but in University of Waterloo they offer two mathematical physics UNDERGRADUATE degrees, one is offered by the falculty of science and one is offered by the falcuty of mathematics. I don't know the exact differences between them and this is one of the...- zhongsan

Landing a Physics Job : book review
I skimmed through the book the other day. The book is very thin(with 100 pages or so) and the text is just HUGE. The content mostly focuses on how to write resumes & cover letters and important qualities a physicist must have to get employed, which is not much different than any other online...- zhongsan

Question about Graduate Studies in Engineering
I'm kind of in the same situation here. Plus here in Canada we are required to take one humanity/social science course per semester(almost) if we are in an undergrad engineering program. Those are definitely going to destroy my grade. So I suppose I'll get a better grade if I stay in physics.- zhongsan

Question about Graduate Studies in Engineering
Thank you very much for your answer. But what do you mean by "a stronger set of application credentials"? If I have a GPA of 3.5, what are my chances of being admitted?- zhongsan

Question about Graduate Studies in Engineering
This might seem to be a silly question. But is it possible to pursue a grudate degree in electrical engineering after I complete a bachelor's degree in physics? And if it's possible, do I need higher GPA than a person with bachelor's degree in engineering to get in? Thank you very much.- zhongsan
