His voice was lower than Roger Hodgson.

This is a great track.

They both had really good voices. I forgot this band, even their song titles, but when I listened now again to them, I recognized almost all of them. Brought back a lot of memories. "Give a little bit" was a huge hit in U.S. There is a long band and personnel bio in wiki, and seems they had a rags-to-riches story and the money troubles associated with it too, sadly. Doesn't say where their band name came from, though, but it seemed an odd name even back then. Great band. I knew 'tramp' miners, who moved from one to another mine to work.

I find it interesting that I didn't know Hodgson and Davies were two different people until very recently. I was introduced to their music when I was about 20, 45 years ago, when 'Breakfast in America' came out. I liked it, but I later fell in love with their 'Crime of the Century' album. I was in the navy at the time and spent an exorbitant amount of money on audiophile equipment and records. 'Crime of the Century' was the only UHQR* album I ever purchased. While only $50 when new, they are now selling for around $1400 on ebay. I still consider it one of the most exquisite albums of all time.

According to wiki, Hodges and Davies shared vocals on the album.

*UHQR = 'Ultra High Quality Record' produced by the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab(MFSL).
