Not really looking for folks to decode something for me, just seeking general advice. Physics is my weakest subject and the one I have the least interest in and yet I cannot deny it's a subject that affects pretty much all our lives. But I also know there is no shortage of bad information out there so how does one spot it or where does one know where to go?

Like I mostly rely on my intuition or gut instinct for this stuff, like for this link (I googled the Wolfgram space hypergraph thing and the result told me it's still theoretical and not fact, it's hard for me to tell TBH):

I'm pretty sure this is bunk but I know nothing about AI or physics. I only remember one name, David Krakuer from the Santa Fe Institute because he did something about goal directed matter, but that's all I know. I know I'm more prone to pseudoscience and misinfo than most, so I wanna know what I can trust and how to vet what's good (I'm not the best at vetting sources which is why I usually ask others).

I figured this belongs here because it's more a general question and not necessarily science per se

Frankly, don’t waste time trying to spot legitimate physics by kooks. Spend your time learning legitimate physics from reputable sources. Start with standard textbooks and lecture notes from actual college courses.

Also, the more time an author spends on how wrong/stupid/corrupt everyone else is, the less time they are spending on actually teaching something worthwhile. A charlatan talks about scientists, a scientist talks about the science.
