How can interdisciplinary collaboration enhance scientific understanding?

Hello! I am currently a university undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I felt that joining this community would not only be able to help me with issues that I come across in my course work, but also help me generate a better of understanding of how concepts mingle all throughout topics of science.
