Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around requests for legal PDFs related to newer theories and advancements in string theory, quantum electrodynamics (QED), and loop quantum gravity (LQG). Participants explore the availability of such resources and the implications of accessing copyrighted material.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Meta-discussion

Main Points Raised

  • One participant requests links to legal PDFs on advancements in string theory, QED, and LQG.
  • Another participant questions the meaning of "pdf's of physics everything," emphasizing the prohibition against downloading copyrighted material.
  • A later reply suggests that the original request was made clearer.
  • One participant mentions that while advancements may not be the right term, the latest happenings can be found on arxiv.org.
  • Another participant points out that the entire High Energy Physics (HEP) archive on arxiv.org is available for download via torrent, providing a specific link.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus on the availability of legal PDFs, and there are competing views regarding the appropriateness of accessing materials through different means.
