Recently I've watched some riveting vids where conciousness is explored from a scientific perspective. Please have a look and comment. The Penrose video is long, but amazingly planned and executed, regardless of the guys disposistion...
Stuart Hameroff: Link removed (solid in scientific approach)
Amit Goswami: Link removed (out there, but captivating)
Penrose: Link removed quantum ( a masterpiece of real world facts melded with of the chart postulations)

Welcome to PF! This has been discussed to death before on this forum. There is absolutely no evidence for quantum phenomenon to play a role in consciousness any more than the standard effects of chemistry. [Retracted]. Feel free to search the forums for previous discussions on this, thread closed.
