Time Travel: Does General Relativity Allow It?

Of course, I know that time travel is still a science fiction, but I have heard that General Relativity allows this to happen.

Where have you heard this? Provide a reference please. That you can construct space-times with closed time-like curves does not mean that it is actually implementable in our physical world.
