Will Replacing Asbestos Water Main with PVC Cause Pressure Breaks?

Was wondering whether a 2 kilometre section of 80mm asbestos water main was replaced with 150mm PVC then rejoined into the last 3 kilometres of old asbestos would it create pressure breaks. The head pressure is 50 metres.
