I don't know, don't you have a better article that describes the mechanism of action? The problem with the HIV virus is that it mutates rapidly, you can design a drug, but the virus will find a way around it. That's why cocktails are used to treat the disease: target the virus with many agents at once.

viral mutation is not the only reason to explain why HIS fails and Tcell loss during HIV infection.

Can't say I have much hopes about this, unfortunately.
There have been too many similar reports in the years past, only time will tell of course if this is any better than previous finds.
