Will earths, our solar systems environment, change over large time scales ?
i am not asking about solar or earth (local) changes.

Yes, as our solar system orbits about the galaxy, it enters regions of higher/lower density (e.g., oscillating through the galactic plane, density waves through the spiral arms). And then there are events like interactions with nearby stars (e.g., Oort cloud pertubations, changes in radiation levels, gravitational interactions).
