A new addition arrived late yesterday afternoon. After about 13 hrs of labor Ian decided to show up. 7 pounds 12 oz. He's healthy and mommy is doing great. I'm bushed. Time for some sleep.

Thanks everyone. I'm a bit, as Brews and Wolram would say, gobsmacked at the moment.

Ian has quite a few things waiting for him, like his hockey skates, his sparring gloves, his first calculator...His Uncle wants to get him his first '55 Thunderbird, but his Aunt is putting the kibosh on that.

Z...he kind of has ears on his hat right now, but they're not the official issue.

Congratulations Daddie-o.

Take him to all the air shows, gun shows, car show. Make sure he has a train set, plays with airplanes, plays with airplanes, plays on a baseball team, plays basketball, play with airplanes, collects card and comic books, and last but not least plays with airplanes.

What to say...

No matter what happens in the near future, when Ian is about 3 months old and starts to smile, it will be worth all of the lack of sleep that you are about to endure. Hearty congratulations.
