Problem With Secret Word

One of the words listed below is a secret word

AIM DUE MOD OAT TIE

If u were to be told any one letter of secret word then you would be able to tell the no. of vowels in secret word which word is secret word

sorry, I misunderstood the question. I understand why it is TIE now. Here is why: The only word with one vowel is MOD. If you tell me any of the letters in that, I cannot tell it there is one or two letters (ie, you tell me M, and it can be MOD [1 vowel] or AIM [two vowels]), and therefore I am unsure if it has 1 or 2. This is the same for both O and D, for the same reasons. Therefore the secret word is a word without 'M', 'O' or 'D'. The only word without any of them is TIE. Sorry again... I should have reread it.
