Hmmm, what other gems are out there on this subject? Also, what do folks think of Feynman's old Quantum Electrodynamcis as an intro to this subject?

No, not the pop-sci one titled QED, but the one titled Quantum Electrodynamics (http://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Electrodynamics-Advanced-Book-Classics/dp/0201360756/sr=1-1/qid=1164233628/ref=sr_1_1/102-0400383-7620159?ie=UTF8&s=books). It gets a high rating on Amazon, but I wonder if that is due to a bit of Feynman worship.
