um, WHY would you want to do that calculation? [8)] [t)]

You don't appreciate how cool it is, Monique?? [o)]

I do, I am impressed you are so creative..
(-8 C) / (4 * pi * electric constant * ((2.45967 m)^2))? [8)]

Try this one:

NOW I'm impressed [;)]

The equation I entered was actually just Coulomb's law -- a simple equation in physics to find the strength of an electric field.

Hehehehe... how about some wacky units?

Wow, a built-in calculator for google. Never noticed it. Fascinating.

Google is an amazing search engine. I especially like the Groups and News Section.

To top it all off, the whole site runs on Linux, which automatically makes it even cooler.

(-8 C)/(4*pi*epsilon_0 *(2.45967 m)^2) in (newtons/coulomb)
(-8 C) / (4 * pi * electric constant * ((2.45967 m)^2)) = -1.18844121 ¡Ñ 1010 Newtons / Coulomb
[o)] How clever !!

However when I tried this (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&q=%28-800+nC%29%2F%284*pi*epsilon_0*%282.45967+mm%29%5E2 %29+in+%28newtons%2Fcoulomb%29+&btnG=Google+Search), it couldn't calculate the answer for me. When I changed m (meter) to mm, it worked fine. But when I changed C to nC, it didn't work.

Is there any rule for the input?

I'm not sure why it doesn't like nC, but it's fine with "nanocoulombs:"
