I just saw this movie for the first time, and even though it's cliche and everyone makes jokes about it, I found it to be really good.

Karate Kid STARTED that cliche.

Actually , I think Karate kid totally ripped off Rocky . they stole the plot from the Rocky movie the ethnic background from the main character in Rocky .

But still, Karate kid is an awesome movie.

I just liked the story, it wasn't like it amazing plot or cinematography, and it wasn't like a life changing thing. One GREAT movie is Tears of the Sun.

The Karate Kid was alright, but by time they got to The Karate Kid XII, it had lost a bit.

Wow, that definitely sounds overdone. Hell, even a single sequel seems to much. I think the ending was fine, and their wouldn't be a need for any sequels.

Aho, Weinberger and Kernighan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AWK_%28programming_language%29) in the movie "Unix Kid".

Really I don't know how many they made. But it was definitely a case of overkill.

They ran the Karate Kid and a couple of sequels on American Airlines flights for about three years. I didn't think they would ever get a new movie! Course that was before portable DVD players.

I've never been on a flight with an inflight movie (except maybe when we flew to Hawaii when I was 2), we always fly Southwest. Last september my aunt found us tickets for $100 each way from ABQ to Portland, we love Southwest.
