how to convert a 240v gas mig180 welder to pure DC to use gasless wire

Has anyone got any ideas on how to convert a 240v, mig, 180amp, welder to output pure DC to enable the use of gasless wire.

What do you mean by pure DC? MIG welders already output DC. The power source is often 240 volt AC which has little to do with the output.

Are you talking about using flux core wire? You shouldn't have to convert anything, they are just two different types of shielding gas. the 240v is converted to DC internally.
