The Attempt at a Solution


I tried doing KVL for the right side of the arrow to try and find Vx, but i get terms of (I) the current but don't know how to solve for the current to substitute back into the KVL equation.

First thing you should note is that the arrow-line Vx isn't a wire. The whole thing is just a single loop circuit. Just use KVL for that single loop and solve for I.
