I want to not get kicked out by my mother, cause I couldn't live with my dad, it wouldn't work whatsoever...And if I do get kicked out, then I don't know what I want...

Me too! (and Jason). However, if you are so inclined to buy me that helicopter I can look the other way.

Ignoring the fact that I despise the notion of birthday celebrations, no. I could go into a long drawn out explanation of sociological and cultural reasons why religious celebrations--regardless of the truth of the belief system--have better reasons, but I'm feeling lazy.

To any who don't take such things so seriously, one reason is as good as another. As long as you have fun, and take the time off to visit some family. The best thing about the holidays is that most people can get some time off, so you can hang out with people you might not otherwise see.
Just remember to relax.

Either baked something yummy or gave a tee shirt with a goofy saying on it, it doesn't matter what it is. One friend has given me a snowman, with a carrot nose{we're hoping for no rain}
Oh who cares about sociological, cultural and religious reasons.
But they gave it to you simply because its 'that time of the year' to give gifts.

who am I kidding; I'd kill for an acoustic drumset or a new guitar.
but this whole education stuff is seriously diminishing my money for unnecessarily expensive toys funds.

There is a reason celebrations are spaced just so through out the year. I know I really need the extra day off. Work can be so taxing for me and the people I work with, any time I can do something special for them, its worth it. Gifting can happen at any time of year.
Plus I enjoy spending the extra time with my close friends and family.
Oh and getting back to the OP.
I want a Crayola light station!

But most of those things you listed, a day off work, spending time with family, don't have anything to do with needing to buy stuff for other people. Why do you have to do something special for them by buying stuff because its 'that time of the year'? Why couldn't you just do something nice for them at random because you're a nice person.
You seem to want to make the big companies richer by buying into their scam of everyone needs to give a gift because its holiday season. They rely on people like you buying lots of junk at the end of the year to keep their books balanced.
I think it should be a faux pas to give anything other than a card.

A couple cast iron things that you put hot pans on so you don't burn the counter.
A couple of those things you set your spoons and other utensils on so they're not making a mess on the stove. Preferably these should look like prickly pears, although some other tacky style picked up at a roadside giftshop might do. You just never know when you're going to find the perfect kitchen accessory at one of those shops.
Better Christmas ornaments. My Christmas tree looks like crap. I had to buy some bulbs, which are nice enough, I put on some lights, and then I added some candy canes. Considering these are the same candy canes that were on my tree 2 years ago, I guess these are my new tradition. I liked my old Christmas ornaments better.

The person scheduled for Christmas has 3 kids and multiple grand-kids, so my wife is taking her day so that her sister can spend the day with family. Hopefully, some PF denizens will hang out here on the 25th so I'll have someone to "talk" to.
My family usually spends the day bickering and drinking, so I'm sure I'll be on here!

You're right. No cards. Write a hand written letter. Actually spend the time to write something other than just your name.
Also, smokesignals, light gun signals, morse code, or a phone call will suffice. Face to face also works.
We got a card with a picture of family friends on it. That counts because its personal.
