I was wondering if there where any ideas or thoeries regarding what a magnetic field is composed of. Are there any particle ideas, or is it just something we dont understand yet

We know about magnetic field as well as we know about electric field. They are all encompassed under Quantum Electrodynamics.

What does QED say about the two fields, does it mention nothing about compostion of the fields? Are the fields composed of nothing?, Doesn't there have to be something that can cause the force, some sorta particle, like gravitons cause gravity, is there any particle that causes electromagnetism

According to one website, virtual photons are running on the lines of force. That did answer my question but now I need to know what a virtual photon is lol
