My landlord has been so nice to let me move in a week early! Very nice guy.

I started moving today. Got lots of stuff in. All there is left is furniture and decorations. I won't decorate until furniture is in place. (I need lamps and such.)

Pictures will come soon! I'll keep you guys posted.

That's great  congrats, Jason. Hope it's everything you expect it will be.

Congrats! Isn't it wonderful to be done with moving?!

Enjoy your new place.

It's not all done guys. I have lots of things to move.

I need to buy a couch, move my dresser, desk in. Man, lots to do.

I can see good times ahead Jason. I remember my first away from home home.

You're still going to be done moving before I am. I'm jealous! I close Monday, start pulling up ugly carpet and begin painting Tuesday, and get my laminate flooring delivered Thursday...already bought myself a new saw (a sliding compound miter saw...should handle cutting the laminate flooring and the molding corners...as much as I love power tools, I decided to just find one that would do everything I needed) and will begin installing it by the weekend, depending how far the painting has gotten (this way, if I peck out a few words of "ouch" with my toes next weekend, you'll know what happened to my fingers without much typing), then the following Friday I move my furniture...will hopefully have all the walls painted and floors done so I can have everything put directly into the right rooms. Then I have until the 22nd of May to get everything else moved, with an out-of-town trip planned in the middle. At least for all the boxes of other stuff, I've had several friends offer assistance, so can round them up if my plan of driving a carload or two over every night after work doesn't work out.

So, lucky you!

Nice! Enjoy your new apartment Jason.
I'll be knocking at the door next time I'm in Canada and need a place to crash. ;-p

Good news, Jason. It's nice to have privacy, and a place to call your own.

Wow!

I was lucky to have my landlord paint it before moving in. Whew... and also I'm only moving in a small apartment. I can't imagine a whole house!

It's kind of funny how we talking about getting a new place last year, and it's all happening roughly at the same time.

I do most of the work myself. It's a real pain. I can't imagine moving upstairs either (on main floor now).

Take some before and after pictures too! Of the house, and fingers...

Oh I know! And it feels fantastic already and it's only been my first day which was spent sweating from unpacking.

There are days when small apts still sound appealing, for those very reasons. :smile;

I know...great minds must think or plan alike.

Will do. I think. Lots of people want to see both before and after pictures, but I'm not sure how many photos I'll get before starting to pull up carpets. I'm planning on starting soon after I get the keys.

How cool for both of you. You have to post photos too Jason. Moving is always a labor of necessity, I hope I never have to move again. Lol, I still can't find things from my last move.

I heard the sirens three times today, on my first day. And I wasn't even here all day!
