Other than using it to prove the particle and wave naturo of particles and of course show interference?

Or does it has some other use?

A Young-type interferometer measures the spatial coherence of a wavefront. As such, it can be used not only as a diagnostic instrument, but also, IIRC, to measure the size of stars.
