What does it mean to normalize a non-normalized wavefuction as in psi=something?
Assuming that the particle has to exist somewhere, the total probability, found by integrating \Psi^*\Psi over all space, has to equal 1.0 (a.k.a. 100%). Normalization means to multiply \Psi by a suitable constant so as to make this integral come out that way.
