Um, pass the coffee beans through a civet in the reverse direction (regardless of how unhappy the civet is about it)?

i read the links thank you for the info. However, is there any other way to perform an isolating caffeine organic lab experiment besides using methylene chloride?

Here's a discussion thread with information about isolating caffeine from tea leaves. Both procedures mentioned in the thread do not use methylene chloride:
