If anyone here knows a lot about astronomy, and astro-physics, could you please try to scientifically explain this?

The same shape appeared on Jupiter about a year ago.

What's going on?

Take a look at http://dcwww.fysik.dtu.dk/~tbohr/RotatingPolygon/index.html to see water swirling in a cylinder spontaneously for hexagons and other polygons--it seems plausible that the hexagonal shape on Saturn's north pole is formed by similar physics at work.

Also, see the Standing Wave entry in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standing_wave

CICLOPS (Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Observations) has a movie of the hexagonal shape here (http://ciclops.org//view_media.php?id=30058).
