Dear Experts,

I am trying to built an electronics controller for a high power DC motor.
I have done small powered circuits using transistors. But learnt that these may have current limits. I like to know what is the usual way to handle high power operations using electronics.

The dc motor specification:

1. 12v.
2. 3 to 4 amps max.

thank you for reading.

sincerely

Dear Experts,

can you give me some clues on how i can turn a digital circuit when the current passing through has to be around 3 or 4 amps for a dc motor?

if i use a transistor as switch, it certainly cannot handle the current.

how is it done?

thanks for reading.

Ok, case closed.
I found out how to do it.
It can be done using something called the high power transistors.

cheers.

I just joined, and I'm a power electronics and motor driver designer. It's too bad nobody helped you here.
