View Full Version : Strings and Energy

I just read the old thread on "What are strings made of?" http://www.physicsforums.com/archive/t-8995 and one member states that energy is just a property of the fundamental building block (string) just like momentum is a property of it. I wondered if that is the consensus, because I have always found it difficult to imagine energy as something physical and it makes more sense to me if it is truly a property of the string rather than actually a string being made of energy. Any comments on this?

energy could be a 1d effect of a string not vibrating in all of our 3d percieved universe
