The discussion revolves around the characteristics and behaviors of dogs, particularly focusing on the implications of paw size in puppies and personal anecdotes related to different dog breeds. The scope includes informal observations, personal experiences, and speculative reasoning about dog growth and behavior.
Participants generally share similar sentiments about the cuteness of dogs and the significance of paw size, but there are varying opinions on the implications of paw size for growth and breed characteristics. The discussion remains unresolved regarding the accuracy of these indicators.
There are assumptions about the relationship between paw size and adult dog size that are not universally agreed upon, and the discussion includes anecdotal evidence that may not apply to all breeds.
Dog owners, breeders, and enthusiasts interested in canine behavior and growth patterns may find this discussion relevant.

When a pup has huge feet, it's a pretty good indicator that they will have to grow into them. If a pup has small feet (especially handy indicator for mixed-breeds) they will probably not grow up to be very large dogs. Even if they look to have a hound-shepherd background, if they have small feet, they'll probably end up being 30-35# or so when they are grown.TubbaBlubba said:Is that true? I had a very large Am. Softcoated Wheaten Terrier that died, oh, 1,5 years ago. She had enormous paws as a pup.
