View Full Version : Can the warning option be used as "crackpot alarm"?

From the note under the "report" it seems that the warning should only be used to report "bad conduct" rather than "bad content".

I would like, however, to have the admins/mentors confirmation on this.
(I would have thought it would simplify the admins/mentors' "scanning work" to be notified directly about obviously cracked pots..)

Hi arildno,

Short answer: Yes. That's one of the things we use the feature for. It also gives us a record of the post before it is edited/deleted so we can better decide what to do with problem posters.

Thanks,

Is this for any post that is editted or deleted, or just the ones the Mentors and admin remove?

Edit histories are not saved. If you edit a post, that edit overwrites whatever that post contained previously. Deletions, on the other hand, are saved. The staff can go back and look at any post or thread even after it has been deleted.

What I was referring to, jimmy, was when someone uses the 'Alert Mentor' feature for a specific post.
