The unit of volume in space...

While reading another thread it occured to me - what unit is used to measure volumn in space? I know light-years are used to measure distance, so is it 'cubic light-year', ala 'cubic meter'?

Cubic light years is the most common measure. For REALLY large volumes cubic parsecs is often used.
