I should probably post this in the General Discussion forum instead of Other Sciences, but hey...if the Boston Globe (where I found this) can post this in their science section, then I can post this here!

In summary, it's a little experiment to evolve poetry via artifical selection of randomly generated phrases that can reproduce (or die off) and mutate.

Don't read too much into it...it's just someone's fun experiment with artificial selection applied to language. It's not meant to be a proof of biological natural selection. [;)]
