A 40 ml volume of iron nitrate (1.8M) is mixed with 21.5ml of iron nitrate (0.808M) calculate the molar concentration of the final solution.
what would be the steps to solve this problem. Im assuming i have to find the number of moles of each given the data but from there im unsure.
Total number of moles in total volume.
Note that total volume can be calculated only in an approximated way, as - in general - volumes are not additive. Difference is usually negligible, but it does exist.
