I was wondering if anyone had any tips, on studying for a statics exam. The only problem I have is that, I understand how to do it, but i become anxious and loose my train of though. I tend to rush into the problem instead of breaking it down into its simplest parts.
Tips or links on how to control this bad habit or even stop it entirely would be really helpful

Do lots and lots of practice problems for starters.
Do an internet search about dealing with anxiety and stress relief techniques. When you start a test, read a problem and stop. Take a deep breath and relax for a moment. Rushing will be more detrimental than the few moments you lose while you try to calm down.
Sometimes when I am taking a test I read a problem and immediately panic "I dont know how to do this!!!" So I skip it and read the next problem and do this until I find a problem I can start on right away. Sometimes I get to the end and all of the problems were like that. So I just have to take a minute and relax and start over, reading the problems carefully and figuring out how to start.
If you say you become anxious, then maybe you do not really understand it. The way your teachers got so good is that they had to teach it to someone. Find a buddy to teach specific topics to and anticipate what questions they may have. Then return the favour for them.
