Air Force report calls for $7.5M to study psychic teleportation

Star Trek fans may be happy to hear that the Air Force has paid to study psychic teleportation.

But scientists aren't so thrilled.

The Air Force Research Lab's August "Teleportation Physics Report," posted earlier this week on the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) Web site, struck a raw nerve with physicists and critics of wasteful military spending. [continued]

Seriously. Why the heck do you need 7.5 million to do a study like this? I can't imagine why it would cost more than a few hundred thousand. That alone is a reason to give them a firm no.
