Homework Help Overview

The discussion revolves around general questions related to elements, including their applications and characteristics. Topics include the addition of fluorine to tap water, the distinctive color of a moon of Jupiter, historical semiconductor materials, and the location of Triton.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Conceptual clarification

Approaches and Questions Raised

  • Participants raise questions about the reasons for fluorine's presence in water, the elements responsible for the coloration of celestial bodies, and the historical context of semiconductor materials. There is also a request for elaboration on the location of Triton.

Discussion Status

Some participants have provided responses to the questions, while others encourage showing prior attempts to engage with the problems. The original poster expresses appreciation for the community's support and indicates they have found answers independently.

Contextual Notes

There is a mention of a deadline for the questions, which seems to have caused some confusion for the original poster regarding the timing of their inquiry.

1) As F is very very reactive , it is kept in water via following reaction:

F(2) +H(2)O -----> HF + O(2)

Orbiting neptune. :wink:

Seriously, though, you should show some attempt to do the problem before asking us.
