Hello

I have to preform the operations and simplifying it.

This is what i have

[tex]\frac{1}{x}+\frac{1}{x-2}+\frac{3}{(x-2)^2}[/tex]

[tex]=\frac{3x^2-7x+8}{x(x-2)(x-2)}[/tex]

Is this correct?? Where do I go from here?

[tex]\frac{(x-2)^2}{x(x-2)^2} + \frac{x(x-2)}{x(x-2)^2} + \frac{3x}{x(x-2)^2}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{3x+(x-2)x+(x-2)^2}{(x-2)^2}[/tex]

The top can be 'factored' taking a = 1, b = x, c = 3x and y = (x-2)

what do you mean by "The top can be 'factored' taking a = 1, b = x, c = 3x and y = (x-2)"??

[tex]\frac{3x+(x-2)x+2(x-2)^2}{(x-2)^2}[/tex]


[tex]3x+(x-2)x+2(x-2)^2[/tex] can be factored if you want it to be, but it depends on what your trying to do.
