New issue of symmetry (http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/cms/?pid=1000183) out today... cover story (http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/cms/?pid=1000190) is about the Snowmass meeting to work toward designing the International Linear Collider.
Other stories:
Asymmetric insight (http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/cms/?pid=1000191): An experiment with polarized electrons probed the strength and asymmetry of the weak force over multiple energy scales.
More of the Universe (http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/cms/?pid=1000192): With a three-year extension, the Sloan Digital Sky Survey will expand its investigations to include dark matter and dark energy.
Gallery (http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/cms/?pid=1000198): Visualizing the Standard Model particles and beyond.
Logbook (http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/cms/?pid=1000195): Bottom quark discovery
CP violation (http://www.symmetrymagazine.org/cms/?pid=1000194) in 60 seconds

Good mag! I liked the article by the opponent of the old Illinois effort to get the SSC who emphasized how different the community interaction of the new linear collider is from the bad old SSC arrogance. And the designer who has found a visual way, based on the Lame curve, to represent quarks - apparently he has coded all their parameters in his curvy symbols. I wonder how he does CP violation?
