Secret codes are often needed
to keep a message hid.

Having numbers stand for letters
was a trick they often did.

So, instead of putting SOS
in letters on a line.

The secret letter writer wrote
1-9-1-5-1-9

But what if it was different
and the numbers went to ground?

If s-i-x is half a dozen
at what number is a found?

I'm not sure I'm right... but could it be "1"? My brain is quite teased... :-/... ok ok.. it's 1.

C'mon people. This is the such a good brain teaser. In the style of that brainteaser we all know and love: The Sphinx. It is definately solvable,

If you realize that Math isn't always the answer you might come closer to a correct answer

hints:
I can' hide them completely so don't look if you don't have to

during a fox hunt sometimes the fox will "go to ground"
it cannot be found, it hides.

half a dozen is 6.
if s-i-x is the code for half a dozen
maybe you have to spell out the numbers, o-n-e, t-w-o, etc

at what number is A found??

After burying my head in the sAnd, I say the answer is:
101 or, o-n-e-h-u-n-d-e-r-e-d-A-n-d-o-n-e

right idea wrong number, and is not actually part of the number. if it was I would have learned about it on my twenty and one birthday

what does go to ground mean? does that have to do with the sphinx and the sAnd? like thousand.. i suppose if we go backwards, negAtive-one would be the first with an A in it. I'm not sure what we'r looking for, the first A that comes up in the letters of a number without pretexts?
