I got a hold of an undergrad math meth book by Arfken. In the chapter on tensors, it is said that the LeviCivita symbol isn't really a tensor, but a pseudotensor. Any comments on this, and how it relates to the discussion? Does this mean that the dot product in question isn't really a scalar, but a pseudoscalar? Is this only the case for the LeviCivita symbol in 3D, and in 4D it
is a true tensor?
