What has happened to Christine's blog?

The discussion revolves around the disappearance of Christine's blog, which focused on topics at the intersection of quantum gravitation and general relativity. Participants express concern and speculate about the reasons behind the blog's deletion, exploring various theories and personal reflections on its impact.
Participants generally agree on the value of Christine's blog and express concern over its disappearance. However, there are multiple competing views regarding the reasons behind its deletion, and the discussion remains unresolved regarding the exact circumstances.
Participants note the potential influence of professional obligations and the nature of online discourse in the scientific community, but these factors remain speculative and are not definitively established.
Readers interested in the dynamics of scientific communication, the impact of personal and professional pressures on public discourse, and the intersection of quantum gravitation and general relativity may find this discussion relevant.

This is definitely not good, losing an open-minded blog by a researcher who is fascinated by the arguments at the intersection of quantum gravitation and GR. I can't imagine the amount of time it took her to build and maintain that resource, and have told her so on multiple occasions. I only hope she can afford to spend the time to bring back that wonderful site in a more limited fashion. Her "eye" for applicability is wonderful.Kea said:Marcus! Christine?

Kea said:This does not explain why she suddenly deleted the whole blog (which could have been left as it was), right after posting an article by Schroer which she mentioned on Woit's blog.

This problem is fundamental. I cannot conceive of a problem with greater implications, or one that is harder to define or nail down.ccdantas said:It's a hard problem that requires full time (and a life time). But it is the most fascinating problem I can think of: how inertia really arises in a fundamental theory of nature (quantum gravity).
