P: 2 1. Angle of incidence, emergence and deviation are respectively 30, 60 and 45 degree. 2. 3. I think that it is irrespective of the refractive index.

Hi lamborg! Welcome to PF!
Quote by lamborg I think that it is irrespective of the refractive index.
Why?

Explain, using Snell's law (the sin/sin law), and basic trigonometric identities

Oh yeah, I just forgot about that. Need to revise. :)

## In prism, is angle of deviation related with the refractive index of prism?

Also, your image does not show any internal reflection to begin with. So I don't understand your qualification:

"... such that no internal reflection takes place ..."
P: 1 In case the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of prism ,the angle of deviation increases with increase in refractive index. THUS angle of deviation increases with increase in refractive index.
