What is the most accepted beleif about the universe, in terms of how large it is etc

whether or not it is shrinking or expanding
the origin
and how long the universe has existed
and whether or not there is more than one universe ?

It is expanding. It began 13.7 billion years ago with the big bang. The observable universe is about 47 billion light years in radius. There is no evidence one way or the other about there being more than one universe.
