So far pressing the exp button after pressing 3 did not work, some random number came up. The solution is in the manual for class work , but the steps on how to do it are not.

Try this:
(1 x 10^3) x (1 x 10^3) = ?
= (10^3) x (10^3) = ?
= 1000 x 1000 = ?
