Can anyone say how big a black hole is? Could its diameter be less than the distance that light can travel - ie less than one wavelength?
The size of a black hole is defined by its event horizon, which can vary significantly depending on its mass. For stellar black holes, the diameter can be several kilometers, while supermassive black holes can reach millions of kilometers across. The concept of size in relation to black holes is complex, as their event horizons are not fixed and can change with mass accretion. Additionally, the Planck length, approximately 1.6 x 10-35 meters, represents a theoretical limit beyond which current physics cannot accurately describe phenomena.
