"ghosting" walking through walls

as i understand it, the reason solid matter cant move through solid matter is because you would need to push atoms through other atoms or the paths of electrons, which means that the solids "bounce" off each other due to energy and wat not, and if you push harder, one solid will break (as in, the atoms seperate).

One idea i had to "ghost" is to absorb all the electon energy off the wall somehow, but i dont have a clue how to do that, and it would just mean the wall would turn into a pile of dust as the atoms lost their electon energy and fell down into a pile to remerge again.....would look cool though.

any1 got any good ideas about "ghosting"?
