Aldehyde in Sulfuric Acid

I'm just checking over the equation/reaction for butyraldehyde's solubility in H2SO4. 2. Relevant equations See below. 3. The attempt at a solution Will it be CH3CH2CH2C(=O)H + H2SO4 --> HSO4- + _________(+) __________O-H -----------|| CH3CH2CH2C-H ? Thanks. |

I gotta find out how to use that Latex thingy. I think it's a de-hydrogenation reaction. CH3CH2CH2CHO +H2SO4 --> CH3CH2CH=CH + H2O |
