SUMMARY

The discussion centers around finding a tutorial for defining limits of motion in planar connection mechanisms using Pro/ENGINEER (Pro-E). A user shares a helpful link to a slot mechanism tutorial, which is intended to assist in understanding the assembly of these mechanisms. The conversation highlights the need for clarity on motion and component profiles to effectively utilize the slot mechanism in Pro-E.

PREREQUISITES
  • Pro/ENGINEER (Pro-E) software familiarity
  • Understanding of planar connection mechanisms
  • Knowledge of motion limits in mechanical design
  • Basic assembly techniques in CAD software
NEXT STEPS
  • Research Pro/ENGINEER slot mechanism tutorials
  • Explore motion limit definitions in CAD design
  • Study assembly techniques for planar mechanisms
  • Learn about component profiles in mechanical assemblies
USEFUL FOR

Mechanical engineers, CAD designers, and anyone involved in the assembly and motion analysis of planar connection mechanisms using Pro/ENGINEER.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to define limits of motion for planar connection mechanisms. Does anyone know of a good tutorial so I can see how they're supposed to be assembled?

Hi enigma,

check this link for some slot mechanisms.

or if it is not what you need.
Can you explain bit more about the motion and components profile?
