Please Debunk!: Dark Suckers
A friend said he saw something on CNN about a recent discovery at bell labs. That a light source, instead of propagating radiant energy actually sucks up darkness. I had to laugh, so here I am asking the pros. Personally, I say nonsense.

The onus is not on you or us to debunk- it's on your friend to come up with a reliable source or evidence for his claims.
However, people here can and will confirm that the story is inconsistent with what we know about light. |

Your friend is having some fun with you.
The "Dark Sucker" joke has been around for years (I first heard it over a decade ago). http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...er&btnG=Search |
