learning inorganic chemistry

I’m an undergraduate student. I’m finding INORGANIC chemistry very tough as I’m asked to memorize hell lot of equations. I consulted my teacher but she says that there is no other go. Can any one tell me a way to learn inorganic other than memorizing???
Thanks in advance.
